On-Site International are looking for a Health & Safety Manager for a project in Eemshaven, Netherlands starting ASAP. Applicants must have a passport that allows them to work in the Netherlands - UK passports no longer act as a valid work permit in the EU - UK passport holding applicants must have a right to work VISA for the Netherlands.
Rate: β¬54/hour
Duties:
- Develop, implement and maintain the project's health, safety and environmental (HSE) management system.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation, client standards, and site-specific rules and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.
- Carry out risk assessments and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe acts, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor high-risk activities, including lifting operations, hot works, confined spaces, working at height and energisation activities.
- Ensure all personnel hold the necessary training, certifications and permits to work.
- Liaise with the principal contractor, client representatives and subcontractors regarding all HSE matters.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports covering safety performance, compliance and ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the project and encourage proactive reporting of hazards and near misses.
Hours: 50-55 hours per week
Duration: Ongoing for suitable candidates
Required: Site card (Safepass/VCA/CSCS), NEBOSH or Equivalent
