The On-Site Group are looking for a Fire Damper Engineer to work in Gateshead. Duties will include:
- Service and maintain fire and smoke dampers to BS9999 standards, ensuring full compliance with current regulations.
- Identify and diagnose faults, obstructions, or installation issues affecting damper performance.
- Carry out remedial works such as installation of access doors, replacement of fire dampers, replacement of springs and fusible links.
- Installation of fire dampers.
- Accurately document all findings, work completed, and recommendations using digital reporting tools.
- Liaise with clients, facilities managers, and contractors to provide guidance on compliance and remedial requirements.
Pay: £250 per day
Must have:
- A valid CSCS card
- Minimum 2 years experience in testing fire dampers
- Driving Licence
- Fire & Smoke Damper Testing & Inspection Certificate/Qualification
- Full PPE
- Own Tools
- Up to date CV
- Recent references
