Senior Specialist - Apparel Sourcing Developer

As a Senior Apparel Sourcing Developer, your core responsibilities would be to ensure On\’s products meet consumer expectations in terms of aesthetics, functionality, & performance and cost efficiency. This is your opportunity to become part of the world\’s fastest growing sports company. Shoes are not the only product and supply chain landscape disrupted by On, but also apparel and accessories. As a Senior Apparel Sourcing Developer, you are responsible for ensuring the developments are executed on-time & in-line with On\’s seasonal development calendars. As a member of the globally integrated supply chain team and cross-functional apparel organisation, you will be based in Istanbul with frequent travel within EU & to our key factory partners.

Your Mission

1. Monitor seasonal calendars & ensure styles are buy-ready & on time to meet deliveries.
2. Ensure that the products developed are production-ready, and work with vendors to mitigate any risks.
3. Ensure clear and consistent communication between apparel development teams at Headquarters and the team in Hanoi.
4. Act as a bridge between Zurich team, and the suppliers, on new technologies & applications in product development.
5. Collaborate with Design & HQ teams to engineer cost effective products. Costing and margin targets for assigned product categories must be coordinated.
6. Maintain good relationships with all suppliers to encourage transparent & open communication on sampling and costing efficiencies.

Your story

1. At least 10 years of apparel product development experience, preferably with 5 years minimum in a manufacturing environment.
2. Basic knowledge of materials & patterns.
3. A degree or qualification in design or garment manufacturing is preferable.
4. Deep knowledge of development and production process.
5. Strong project management skills.
6. Strong communication & interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multicultural teams.
7. Proficiency in English is a must.
8. An entrepreneurial and open mindset, an eagerness for differentiation, and a natural push for excellence.
9. Able to balance creativity with organisation and discipline in a fast-paced environment.
