Our client is the asset management of an international bank in Zurich. We are looking for a US tax specialist (m, f, d) as Tax Manager Fund Industry US and EU Markets / Investment Structures.
Your Tasks:
- Support as international tax manager investment funds practices, advising on US and EU tax matters for private equity investments and other private market investment structures.
- Provide technically strong, commercially focused input across a broad range of funds matters.
- Review of complex fund structures and ensuring compliance with US and EU tax regulations for investment funds and their investors.
- Advising on reporting requirements, including correct schedules and investor disclosures.
- Supporting fund structuring, launches and ongoing operational tax matters.
- Acting as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Identifying and managing US tax risks and compliance obligations.
- Contributing to process improvement and best practice within the function.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law, Taxation or Economics.
- An LL.M. in international tax law would be an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of US and EU fund taxation, particularly in relation to private equity funds and partnerships, or professional experience with one of the ‘Big Four’ or an international tax consultancy firm.
- Experience with US and EU taxation of fund investments and an interest in international tax issues.
- Experience with tax returns for US partnerships in the fund sector.
- Knowledge of fund structuring and fund distributions.
- Knowledge of tax reporting for investors.
- Analytical mindset and a goal-oriented approach to work, including the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a team and a strong customer focus.
- Problem-solver, detail-oriented.
- Interest in an intercultural environment.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
