Deputy Democratic Services Manager - Central London - Local Authority

£31 - £41+ per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

Hybrid working available – 2/3 days a week in the office

3 months initial contract – likely to be extended

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading and managing a team of staff who support the Council's decision-making processes, including scrutiny and member development, in accordance with legislative requirements and frameworks.
  • Ensure the Council's decision-making processes and governance are completed in accordance with all statutory requirements.
  • Deputise for the Democratic Services Manager on all aspects of managing the service as required, including providing cover for leave.

Qualifications

  • Experience of using the (modern.gov) committee management system.
  • Experience working directly within a local authority.
