Job description:Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer β AutoCAD Specialist to work within a manufacturing facility in Leeds.Day Shifts β 7am until 3pm Monday to FridayOvertime availableAbout the RoleWe are seeking skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineers with proven AutoCAD experience to join our engineering team. The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical drawings for M&E projects across various sectors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate 2D and/or 3D M&E drawings using AutoCAD in line with project specifications.Develop detailed mechanical and electrical layouts, schematics, and system diagrams.Collaborate with other engineers to integrate designs.Review and revise drawings based on feedback from clients.Ensure designs comply with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.Conduct design calculations and assist in the selection of equipment/materials.Support project planning, cost estimation, and technical documentation.Participate in site visits and surveys when required.Essential RequirementsHNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); familiarity with Revit MEP or similar CAD tools is advantageous.Experience in mechanical and/or electrical building services design.Strong understanding of M&E systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, and piping.Excellent attention to detail with strong technical drafting skills.Ability to interpret and work from engineering sketches, specifications, and mark-ups.Good communication and teamwork skills.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and training.Collaborative and innovative work environment.
