Data is the lifeblood of our marketing strategy, but its value depends entirely on its integrity. As the Senior Specialist, Media & Performance Marketing Analyst, you will be the primary guardian of On’s marketing data truth. You aren't just building dashboards; you are designing the global taxonomy and infrastructure that allows us to understand exactly how our marketing efforts drive growth. Your mission is to bridge the gap between complex data engineering and actionable marketing insights, ensuring that every dollar spent is tracked, modeled, and reported with absolute precision.
Your Mission
- Global Tracking Governance: Own the design and management of a unified global taxonomy (UTM and Naming Conventions) across all paid and organic channels – and how that impacts our attribution logic. You will author the playbooks that ensure internal teams and agencies maintain flawless tracking standards.
- Data Modeling & Architecture: Act as the primary owner of our marketing data sources. You will define the logic for how channel‑specific data joins with web analytics and transactional data to create a scalable, robust reporting architecture.
- Metric Standardization: Define and govern the core logic for critical KPIs (e.g. CAC, ROAS, CPM) to ensure "apples‑to‑apples" comparisons across all regional and global reporting layers at various granularity levels – from channel to creative.
- Reporting Ecosystem & Accessibility: Design and maintain our Curated Dashboard landscape. Your goal is to simplify complexity, creating high‑level dashboards tailored to specific audiences going from high‑level views built for Leadership to high‑granularity insights for Channel Managers.
- Deep Descriptive Insights: Partner with marketing teams to provide advanced analysis on channel, campaign, and creative performance helping our Media team make data informed decisions. You will also enable Media teams to easily explore more robust metrics like CLV, CAC, and CAC/LTV Ratio.
- Operational Excellence & Data Management: Manage our channels data collection across multiple data sources; and the ingestion of critical data pipelines to Clarisights/DWH – e.g. influencer costs or offline media spend.
Your story
- Analytical Mindset: You bring 4+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics, with a proven track record in tracking governance, data modeling, and data‑driven storytelling. As a detail‑oriented analyst, you don't just ensure data integrity, you dive deep into the numbers to uncover actionable insights that directly shape strategic marketing decisions.
- Technical Fluency: You are highly proficient in SQL and have experience working with BI and analytics tools (e.g., GitHub, Data Modeling, Looker, Amplitude, or Clarisights). You understand the technical flow of data from Ad Platforms into downstream BI tools.
- Future‑Proof Mindset: You understand how to best set up marketing tracking to comply with a privacy‑restricted ecosystem, while enriching our data collection and improving our attribution models and web/app behavioral analyses.
- Collaborative Influencer: You are a trusted thought partner to both your analytics peers and media stakeholders. You can translate complex data architecture into clear guidelines and compelling insights, influencing the wider marketing organization to improve data reliability and drive smarter business decisions.
- Precision & Documentation: You believe that data without documentation is a risk. You take pride in overseeing a comprehensive knowledge management landscape, from attribution logic to metric definitions.
