Role Description
The AV & IT Business Development Manager (BDM) is a full-time hybrid role based in Chesham, with flexibility for some work from home.
The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities for integrated AV and IT solutions, managing existing client accounts, and building long-term relationships with key decision makers.
Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and quotations, delivering client presentations and demonstrations, and collaborating with technical and design teams to shape solutions that meet client needs.
The BDM will track and report sales activity, maintain accurate CRM records, contribute to tenders, and support marketing initiatives and partner engagement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in New Business Development and Business Development, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing opportunities.
- Knowledge of Information Technology and audio-visual systems, with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and confident client-facing interaction.
- Experience in Account Management, with a focus on relationship building, customer retention, and ongoing client support.
- Proven experience in B2B sales within AV, IT, or related technology sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional technical and design teams.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic office productivity software.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Relevant education or training in business, technology, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory where experience is strong.
