We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to work with us at our Middlesbrough site with our existing small engineering team. You will be based from our purpose-built food manufacturing facility with significant investment and current generation machinery.
The Role
You will work in a 2-person team, for the most part, liaising with production, hygiene and our technical department. The engineering team undertake planned and preventative maintenance and there's a huge variety of tasks that will range from general plant maintenance and breakdowns to building and site repairs. The factory operates on a 7-day per week basis, including weekends and bank holidays so you must be ready and able to commit to out of 'office hours' working.
What you will be doing
- You’ll be driven and skilled in finding and rectifying faults on our busy production lines, conducting planned and preventative maintenance and working on a variety of equipment such as flow wrappers and ultrasonic cutters.
- Maintain high standards on site, by performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, ensuring that PPM records are continuously updated.
- Being accountable for assigned jobs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Work to the highest standards of safety, quality and hygiene on a busy food manufacturing site.
