Food Production Operative - Panama Shift Pattern in Middlesbrough

Job Purpose:
The Production Operative role plays a key part in the manufacturing of high-quality, fresh food products by preparing, assembling, and packing sandwiches and other food to go items in line with production schedules and company standards. Working as part of a fast-paced production team, the role is responsible for ensuring products are made safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality, food safety, and hygiene.
Operating in a chilled production environment, you will be expected to work accurately and consistently while meeting daily production targets. The role requires a start time of 6am, finish times vary with production volumes, and this role operates on a Panama shift pattern, involving rotating shifts on a bi-weekly basis. By maintaining high standards and working collaboratively with colleagues, you will contribute to the successful production of over 100,000 fresh products each day.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and assemble fresh food products on the production line in line with daily production schedules.
· Handle raw materials, including meat products, safely and hygienically in accordance with food safety standards.
· Carry out food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, and portioning ingredients to specification.
· Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, following all operating procedures.
· Clean and sanitise machinery, equipment, and workstations to maintain hygiene standards.
· Pack and label finished products accurately to meet customer and company requirements.
· Complete production records, quality documentation, and other required paperwork accurately
