We have several roles available at On a Roll Sandwich Company within different departments, including Production, Mixing, and Picking Roles.
Start times vary depending on role from 0600-1030 and there are no set finish times: your shift finishes when your part of the production cycle is complete. However, that means that we pay you for every hour that you work!
As we are recruiting for various roles, we will determine job fit at group screening sessions with a member of the HR team and managers from around the factory.
Points to note:
β We care about food quality and so many of our roles involve working in a chilled environment
β We can produce over 100,000 sandwiches every day so our roles are fast-paced and the work can be repetitive β for that reason, applicants must be motivated to work long shifts
β There is limited public transport on the estate where we are based so please research that you can attend early morning and late evening shifts.
Food Production Operatives:
- Working on a production line
- Handling raw materials, including meats (pork included)
- Cutting & Chopping
- Operating machinery
- Cleaning machinery
- Packing finished products
- Record keeping
- Quality Checking
- General house keeping
- Work towards and achieving targets
- Working in accordance with health & safety policies
Kitchen Operatives:
- Handling raw materials
- Mixing, Cutting, Slicing & Chopping
- Quality Checking
- General house keeping

Dispatch Operative:
- Ensuring all customer orders are picked (using paper pick sheets) in a timely manner
- Ensure the products are picked to exact customer requirements β undamaged, hygienically and without waste of manpower or time, whilst ensuring we are right first time
- Keep accurate and legible paperwork
- Responsible for packing a designated section each day
- Always setting a good example to staff in both manner and conduct
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as Health & Safety regulations
