We are recruiting a full-time, permanent HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. This role operates on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, covering both day and night shifts. Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 driver is essential.

You will be responsible for the on-time and in-full delivery of sandwiches and food-to-go products to our customers, playing a key role in maintaining food safety standards throughout the delivery process. As a client-facing ambassador for our brand, drivers are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism, behaviour, and personal presentation. Delivery routes will vary, with full training provided on different rounds where required.

You can expect to:

  • Complete all food safety and transport documentation as required on every shift.
  • Complete vehicle temperature checks prior to each delivery to ensure goods are within required temperature specifications and that vehicle safety standards are maintained.
  • Work within your qualified legislation constraints which will be monitored, with licence checks completed twice annually.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles (both inside the cab and the exterior of the vehicle).
  • Return empty basket and pallet equipment on each journey and unload into storage area prior to cleaning your vehicle.
  • Refuel vehicles prior to return to site and ensure odometer readings are recorded.

About you:

  • Hold a full UK HGV Class 1 licence for at least 24 months with no more than 6 penalty points, along with a valid Digi-card and in-date Driver CPC.
  • Previous experience driving safely and courteously, with the ability to use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience transporting refrigerated goods and FLT experience are desirable.
  • Customer-focused, reliable, and committed to supporting colleagues.
