We are recruiting for a Lead Driver to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. You will play a key role in ensuring the on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery of sandwiches and food-to-go products to our customers. As a motivated and experienced driver, you will be responsible for transporting products safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards throughout the delivery process. Your commitment to reliability and customer service will help ensure an excellent experience for our customers every day.
YOUR ROLE
- Working week will be Tuesday to Saturday, early starts with some flex to suit the business.
- Overseeing and co-ordinating the activities of a team of drivers.
- Deliveries to localised customers.
- Providing sickness or holiday cover for drivers.
- If no driving duties are required, some or all of the following duties will be tasked to you:
- Assisting with assignment of routes and vehicles for deliveries the following day.
- Vehicle damage checks/reports and resolutions.
- Vehicle inspections and maintenance planning.
- Driver training.
- Produce regular transport related reports.
- Resolution of issues or delays during transit.
- Deputise for Transport Manager in their absence.
ABOUT YOU
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- HGV licence would be advantageous.
