The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

Working within our purpose-built food production facility in Middlesbrough, you will be responsible for supervising a team of production operatives on a line to ensure all products are made to exact specifications with minimal disruptions. The start time is 7am each day but finish times can vary dependent on production volumes. We are recruiting for a number of full-time positions, working 5 days a week across a 7-day production schedule, including weekends. Candidates must have a positive and hard-working attitude and be able to motivate staff in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising your team to ensure that products are made to exact specifications, within food safety procedures and without excessive waste of ingredients, manpower or time.
  • Ensuring your line is running efficiently whilst monitoring quality control through coaching & working alongside line operatives.
  • Providing training, coaching and mentoring to all employees to ensure they are competent within their job.
  • Ensuring all pre-start checks are carried out and signed off at the start of each shift.
  • Ensuring all necessary paperwork is present and completed during production.
  • Accountable for weights, metal detection, product quality & waste.
  • Identifying and reporting any faults with machinery/equipment as soon as they become apparent.
  • Liaising with other departments in line with demands of production & minimise any disruption to production.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential to ensure you can succeed in this role.
  • If you have previously worked in a food environment this would improve your application.
  • More importantly, we need people with a "can do" attitude, who demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • We are interested to hear from you if you have experience of managing people in a manufacturing environment, even if you have not worked in food production previously, as all training (including Level 2 Food Safety and Health and Safety) will be provided.
