We’re Omwani, a green coffee sourcing partner working across East Africa to connect coffee producers with roasters in the UK and Europe.
We’re on the lookout for someone to join us in York to help with roasting and dispatching our coffee samples.
The samples you prepare will often be the first taste a roaster gets of a producer’s coffee. It’s a great way to play a part in sharing the hard work of producers and helping us build connections between producers and roasters.
If you have experience in retail or packing for an online shop, enjoy hands-on work, and love talking about coffee, we’d be excited to hear from you!
Tasks
- Roast and bag coffee samples (no roasting experience necessary!)
- Dispatch sample requests
- Roast coffees for tastings at Omwani HQ and for events

- Organised: Ability to stay organised and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Efficient & accurate: Comfortable working at pace while keeping standards high

Benefits
Salary: £12.60 / hour
Hours: 10 hours per week. We’re really flexible with how these are scheduled.
