We are seeking a reliable, physically fit, and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team. The primary responsibilities include offloading shipping containers, picking and packing customer orders, forklift operation, and ensuring accurate labelling and dispatch. You must also strictly follow all Health & Safety regulations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and enjoys physical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Offload incoming shipping containers manually or with basic warehouse equipment
- Operate a forklift safely to move, load, and unload goods
- Sort, unpack, and organise inventory efficiently
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately, according to dispatch notes
- Apply correct shipping labels to the right boxes without errors
- Ensure all goods are handled safely and stored in the correct locations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Report any damages or discrepancies immediately to supervisors
Requirements
- Must be physically fit and capable of manual lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Ability to drive a forklift (valid certificate preferred)
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred, but not essential
- Ability to follow clear instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and labelling
- Must have a positive work attitude and strong work ethic
- Basic English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious
