Introduction

The role of a Nursery Apprentice is to work alongside the management team to provide a high level of professional care and educational enrichment to all children in the setting.

They also offer multi‑sports, cooking, sing‑and‑sign and Yoga to ensure the children have every opportunity to develop holistically.

Onsite chef produces a varied and delicious menu providing nutritious meals for the children and staff.

The Early Years Team excels in teamwork and will deliver an outstanding learning experience and support you to develop your skills through innovative training.

What You'll Do

  • Support fellow educators/practitioners to deliver the setting’s curriculum and standard of practice
  • Work towards an early years qualification with support from the setting’s staff and training provider
  • Seek support from members of the team to assist your learning
  • Work closely with children aged 0‑5 years old, looking after their daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing and toileting
  • Work as part of a team to deliver and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children
  • Plan, provide and support age‑appropriate play opportunities in line with the curriculum and individual needs of the children in your care
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care
  • Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development progress
  • Provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of each unique individual child
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers
  • Adhere to and follow the setting’s policies and procedures
  • Attend regular team meetings
  • Ensure standards of health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
  • Attend additional training events and meetings as identified by the Setting Manager for training requirements

Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity for further study completing the Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner course.

The employer guarantees full‑time permanent employment upon completion of this apprenticeship.
