Overview
The Jr. Sales Manager will support and expand OMNIVISION's CMOS image sensor business with European end customers, with a primary focus on the medical market segment and additional responsibility for emerging market opportunities. The position is ideal for candidates with a relevant engineering degree (Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Optics, Mechatronics, etc.), experience in the Med-Tech industry, and a strong willingness to learn CMOS image sensor technologies, market requirements, and OMNIVISION's product roadmaps. This position can be based in one of OMNIVISION's Europe offices, with regular travel to customers, partners, and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop sales relationships with new and existing customers in the medical and emerging market segments.
- Drive design-in activities for CMOS image sensors by understanding customer requirements and aligning them with OMNIVISION's product capabilities.
- Execute key account management activities including price negotiations, forecasting, opportunity tracking, and contract discussions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Business Development, Field Application Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to support technical evaluations and customer design cycles.
- Identify new opportunities in adjacent or emerging applications (e.g., industrial, scientific imaging, consumer health devices).
- Gather and communicate market intelligence—competitive trends, technology needs, customer roadmaps—and feed insights to internal teams.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and internal opportunity database.
- Participate in trade shows, customer workshops, and on-site product demonstrations when needed.
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Prior experience in B2B Sales or engineering roles in the semiconductor, imaging, Med-Tech, or electronics industries is a plus.
- Strong interest and willingness to learn CMOS image sensor technology, imaging system fundamentals, and application-specific requirements in medical and emerging markets.
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills; ability to explain technical concepts at a high level.
- Strong account management skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Fluent in English; German or other European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Europe to meet customers and attend industry events.
