Join our dynamic team as a Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE), specializing in the European market. Your expertise in sensor architecture, image processing, and system-level applications will be essential in enhancing customer experience, image quality, and performance. With a strong background in CMOS technology, customer engagement, and image quality, you will provide critical support to customers, helping them solve complex system challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of image sensors and image signal processing, ensuring tailored technical support for industry-specific needs. You will collaborate closely with internal teams across sales, application engineering, and product management, contributing to the success of innovative vision solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support to customers throughout project development by troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving hardware, firmware, and IQ related issues affecting image sensors, image signal processing, and overall system functionality, both remotely and on-site.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their application requirements, helping them optimize image quality, sensor performance, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to assess customer needs and define solutions using OmniVision products, translating customer challenges into high-level product specifications.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Applications, marketing, and product development, to address customer challenges, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous product improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Master of Science/Engineering degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, physics or related areas.
  • 5+ years of experience in field applications, applications engineering, or a related role within the semiconductor or imaging industry.
  • Strong understanding of image sensors and image signal processing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver technical presentations at all organizational levels.
  • Great communication skills to effectively align customer needs with organizational priorities.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset, adept at working across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with imaging technology and systems.
  • Knowledge of camera architecture and application in the field of machine vision.
