Business Development expert required with either Image Sensor or Automotive industry experience or ideally both. Located in UK or Germany. As a member of the Business Development team, you will be responsible for driving growth in the European market. The role is primarily focused on the automotive industry but with opportunity to expand into other market segments such as industrial machine vision. You will be expected to support existing business, identify and win new projects, and develop strong relationships. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who relishes a challenge and will enjoy promoting our leading edge image sensor technology.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business development, sales and design-ins through a strong technical and commercial partnership, with the support of OMNIVISION engineering and sales teams.
- Clearly articulate the benefits of OMNIVISION products in order to promote them to the customers and position them favorably for upcoming projects.
- Work with customers during the project specification phase in order to ensure OMNIVISION products fit well into the required system architecture.
- Coordinate RFQ responses at the global Tier 1s through collaboration with the OMNIVISION worldwide sales teams.
- Understand the future requirements of our customers and communicate them to the OMNIVISION organization to ensure our roadmaps meet the customer needs.
- Identify and propose areas for potential innovations.
- Solve customer concerns quickly and efficiently, supporting both existing mass production projects as well as new project launches.
- Build relationships at multiple levels within the customers from engineering to purchasing and executives.
- Develop and document a strategy for growth at your customers.
- Network within the industry and build relationships.
- Support trade-shows.
Experience / Skills:
- Strong technical background with 5+ years of Electronics or Camera Development experience.
- Experience in the Automotive market and/or Image sensor/Optics (or closely related) fields.
- Degree level qualifications in Electronics Engineering, optics or closely related subject.
- 5+ years of experience in a sales, marketing or applications engineering role.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good time management with the ability to handle multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to network within the electronics and automotive industry and build relationships.
