Omnis is partnering with a leading UK technology & education consultancy that is reimagining how future data, engineering and AI professionals are trained before deploying into enterprise client environments.

We are looking for a Technical Learning Experience Designer / Technical Curriculum Designer who can design innovative, practical and engaging learning programmes across data engineering, data science, machine learning and AI. The difference here is we need the curriculum to be designed by an expert, someone who perhaps started their career in data and AI, or is currently working as a hands-on data science, analytics and AI expert - as you will need to demonstrate you can modernise and embed AI into courses that enable cohorts of Graduates to become AI workforce-ready in months. It is therefore critical that you can not only bring the education experience but also demonstrate you understand how modern data and AI systems are built and applied in industry.

The role will involve:

  • Designing end-to-end learning journeys for aspiring data and AI professionals
  • Translating complex technical concepts into engaging modules, workshops, labs and assessments
  • Creating project-based learning experiences using real-world datasets, simulations and industry scenarios
  • Designing practical learning environments including cloud sandboxes, Jupyter-based exercises and AI-driven labs
  • Building formative, summative and competency-based assessments that measure job readiness
  • Working closely with instructors, technical SMEs and industry stakeholders
  • Continuously improving curriculum based on learner feedback, performance data and industry trends
  • Creating multi-modal content across written, visual, interactive, audio and video formats

The content will cover areas such as Data engineering fundamentals and modern data platforms, data science, analytics and machine learning concepts as well as AI in all its forms.

You’ll need:

  • Exposure to data engineering, data science, machine learning or AI subject matter - hands-on experience somewhere in your career is ESSENTIAL
  • Foundation theoretical studies, to degree level or above in a STEM subject
  • Experience designing technical curriculum, learning journeys or technology training programmes
  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy or Merrill's Principles
  • Experience creating practical labs, projects, workshops and assessments
  • Confidence collaborating with technical SMEs and instructors
  • Familiarity with LMS/LXP platforms and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise or Camtasia
  • Knowledge of learning analytics and data-driven content improvement
  • Understanding of accessibility, inclusive learning design and WCAG standards
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for developing future technology talent
