We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join a leading financial services client, helping build a new enterprise AI capability from the ground up. This is a hands-on engineering role, focused on building production-grade agentic AI and RAG systems that can reason across research reports, transcripts, filings and enterprise data. A major focus will be ensuring AI outputs are reliable, measurable and fully traceable back to their source.
The Role
- Build production agentic AI and RAG workflows
- Develop robust document ingestion, parsing and extraction pipelines
- Build LLM evaluation frameworks and guardrails covering groundedness, factual accuracy, relevance and confidence
- Implement citation and provenance, tracing outputs back to specific source documents and retrieved content
- Improve retrieval quality through chunking, embeddings and vector search
- Build automated quality controls around missing, duplicated, truncated or incorrectly extracted content
- Develop production-grade Python services and pipelines with appropriate testing, CI/CD and monitoring
- Work directly with engineering teams and business stakeholders to turn requirements into measurable AI quality standards
Requirements
- Experience building and deploying LLM, RAG or agentic AI systems into production
- Experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, retrieval and vector databases
- Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, guardrails or AI quality
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including testing and CI/CD
- Comfortable working from ambiguous requirements and building solutions from scratch
- Consultancy and financial services experience is strongly preferred
