We're supporting the search for a highly technical Learning Experience Designer to help shape the next generation of Cloud and Software Engineering talent within a modern Technology & AI learning environment. This is not a traditional corporate L&D role. We are specifically looking for individuals who ideally began their career in engineering, software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure before moving into technical training, developer education, curriculum design, enablement, or academy environments.

You'll design immersive, hands-on learning experiences that replicate modern engineering teams and real-world delivery environments. Areas covered include:

  • Cloud Engineering (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • DevOps, CI/CD & Infrastructure Automation
  • Software Engineering workflows & tooling
  • AI-assisted software development
  • Sandbox labs, simulations & live engineering environments
  • AI-enhanced learning experiences

This role is heavily focused on practical engineering capability rather than purely theoretical instructional design. You'll help build modern technical programmes using approaches such as:

  • Project-based learning
  • Pair programming labs
  • Hackathon-style delivery
  • Simulation-driven assessments
  • Real-world engineering scenarios
  • Infrastructure-as-code labs
  • AI-assisted coding workflows

AI tooling is a key part of the role. We're looking for someone already leveraging tools such as:

  • GitHub Copilot
  • Cursor
  • Claude / Claude Code
  • ChatGPT
  • AI-assisted content generation
  • Automated assessment tooling
  • AI-supported learner feedback workflows

Example backgrounds could include:

  • Ex-Software Engineer turned Technical Trainer
  • DevOps Engineer moved into Learning or Enablement
  • Cloud Engineer building technical academies or bootcamps
  • Developer Educator / Technical Instructor
  • Platform Engineer supporting technical onboarding
  • Technical Curriculum Designer with hands-on engineering experience

Experience we'd like to see:

  • Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering exposure
  • Technical training, developer education, or engineering enablement
  • Curriculum or instructional design for technical audiences
  • Building hands-on labs or engineering workshops
  • LMS/LXP platforms and modern e-learning tooling
  • Technical academies, bootcamps, or graduate engineering programmes

This is an opportunity to help redefine how engineers are trained in the AI era, combining technical credibility with next-generation learning design and AI-powered education practices. If you enjoy building practical, engineering-first learning experiences and want to shape future engineering talent, we'd love to hear from you.
