We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join a forward-thinking Technology & AI Institute focused on building next-generation Cloud and Software Engineering talent. This is a hands-on, design-led role where you will shape immersive, multi-modal learning experiences that prepare learners for real-world engineering environments in cloud, DevOps, and modern software delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing innovative learning journeys using modern instructional frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Merrill’s First Principles).
  • Creating project-based, hackathon-style, and simulation-driven learning experiences.
  • Building hands-on cloud and software engineering labs (CI/CD, DevOps, IaC, full-stack environments).
  • Developing multi-modal content (video, interactive labs, written, audio, and practical exercises).
  • Embedding AI-powered learning tools into curriculum design and delivery.
  • Using learning analytics to continuously improve learner outcomes and engagement.
  • Designing assessments (competency-based, portfolio, formative and summative).

Technical & Design Focus:

  • Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP (or equivalent experience).
  • Software engineering fundamentals: full-stack, DevOps, CI/CD.
  • LMS/LXP platforms and e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Camtasia).
  • Accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG, UDL principles).

AI-Enabled Learning Innovation:

  • Building adaptive, personalised learning pathways.
  • Integrating generative AI tools for content creation and coding exercises.
  • Designing AI-assisted coding environments (e.g. Copilot-style workflows).
  • Enabling AI-driven feedback, tutoring, and learner analytics.

What we’re looking for:

  • Background in Learning Design, Education, or Learning Sciences.
  • Experience in technical training environments (software engineering or cloud strongly preferred).
  • Strong instructional design capability with practical, applied focus.
  • Understanding of modern engineering practices (DevOps, cloud-native delivery).
  • Passion for building job-ready, industry-aligned learning experiences.

The impact:

You’ll be helping to design programmes that produce job-ready cloud and software engineers, blending pedagogy, engineering practice, and AI to redefine how technical talent is developed.
