We’re hiring for a Data Scientist to join a high-growth, data-driven business where forecasting directly shapes commercial and operational decisions. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in pace, ambiguity and impact.
You’ll be embedded with a small, high-performing team in the heart of the business, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to turn data into forecasts people actually rely on.
What you’ll be doing:- Building and improving demand forecasting models across fast-moving product lines
- Using time-series methods, regression and applied ML to predict real-world demand
- Running scenario modelling around promotions, pricing and seasonality
- Analysing customer behaviour and commercial drivers to improve forecast accuracy
- Owning forecast performance — accuracy, bias, variance — and fixing what breaks
- Translating complex analysis into clear, commercial insights for planning and S&OP
- Working closely with Data & Platform Engineering to ship production-ready models
- Educated to at least degree level in a relevant subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Engineering etc.
- 1–3 years’ experience as a Data Scientist in a D2C, ecommerce or consumer environment
- Strong foundations in forecasting and time-series analysis
- Hands-on with Python & SQL (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels)
- Experience with Prophet, ARIMA and/or Gradient Boosting (XGBoost)
- Comfortable working in fast-changing environments with imperfect data
- Clear communicator — able to influence both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Real ownership of models used in live business decisions
- Exposure to end-to-end forecasting, not just analysis in isolation
- A culture that values speed, learning and practical impact
