This multi functional role includes all duties at the Box office, Concessions and Floor. High levels of customer service and product knowledge will be required through supplying information, dealing efficiently with queries and assisting patrons wherever possible.
General Floor Staff are responsible for promoting effective visitor services. Typical work activities include:
BOX OFFICE
- Ticket sales and other retail items
- Cash Handling
- Understand all ticket prices, discounts, promotional offers and other schemes
- Develop a sound product knowledge
- Ensure guidelines regarding age classification are followed at all times
FLOOR
- Prior to a screening or event, collect and check tickets and deal with any customer enquiries; after a screening or event be available to assist customers at the exit and to check and tidy the auditorium
- Assist patrons to their seats and ensure customers with access requirements are supported to and from the cinema
- Advise visitors with specific access needs on cinema access, induction loops etc
- Monitor the auditorium for illegal use of filming equipment, smoking, unruly patrons, and health & safety issues, relaying any issues management immediately.
- Monitor the screening with regards to picture quality and sound levels, relaying any issues to the management immediately
CONCESSIONS
- Have a good working knowledge of all products and up sell when possible
- Serve customers in the concessions area
- Replenish goods and undertake stock control between screenings or events
- Check-off deliveries diligently and accurately
- Ensure all daily operating tasks are carried out and recorded
GENERAL DUTIES
- Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude towards visitors and employees, recognising the importance and benefits of effective team working
- Deal with enquiries courteously and competently, whilst offering a genuine welcome to all visitors – public, educational or corporate
