As an eCommerce Associate Director, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative connected commerce solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in digital commerce and a proven track record of driving business growth.

You will consult with agency planning teams to create award-winning campaigns that integrate commerce into all stages of briefing, planning, activation and measurement. Your primary focus will be ensuring commerce and media planning teams are integrated in their objectives, approach and measurement. This role would suit if you have a keen desire to take ownership, build relationships internally and externally whilst being part of a team that is growing in a key investment area of our business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and lead innovative e-commerce solutions, including testing new technologies and platforms, while working with eCommerce teams to create scalable tests.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners to leverage their expertise for growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to expanding the e-commerce practice.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to create innovative solutions that meet client needs.
  • Work with product teams and vendors to access relevant testing opportunities, support suitable test designs and provide feedback on client pain points, product performance and operational improvements.
  • Act as a senior advisor to clients, providing regular updates, insights and solutions to enhance their eCommerce presence and performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Lead high-level client presentations, delivering strategic recommendations and performance reviews.
  • Mentor and lead a team, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional growth.
  • Stay updated on industry innovation and trends to drive connected commerce solutions and product testing.

Skills and Experience

  • You have built an in-depth understanding in eCommerce, key account management or retailer eCommerce activation at a digital agency or client-side (FMCG, CPG, Consumer Electronics, Home Improvement).
  • You are proficient in eCommerce activation through platforms such as Nector360, Tesco Sphere, AMS and Criteo.
  • You have impressive knowledge in data analysis, retail planning, product/project management, marketing consulting and supply chain.
  • You stay informed about emerging technologies, including AI and are open to exploring how automation and AI tools can enhance creativity, performance and efficiency in media.
  • You have experience managing the operational output of more junior members of the team as well as supporting their ongoing personal and professional development.
