WHO WE ARE

Global Value is a strategic media commercial trading sub-discipline within Omnicom, a global advertising and marketing solutions provider. The Global Value team manages our global client portfolio’s media-related assets across multiple platforms through media buying, forecasting, insights and negotiation strategies. The Global Value Team focuses on delivering and creating value for key Global clients across all media. We are dynamic, empowered and entrepreneurial. THE ROLE

This role sits within the Global Value function and is tasked with managing and leading a team to identify, measure and report all areas of media value delivered by Omnicom for Initiative clients. You will report to the Managing Director, manage a team of Associate Directors, Managers and Analysts, working closely with the Omnicom Commercial Trading community globally. This role will cover all media types (TV, Digital, Social, Retail, Search, OOH, Print and Radio) across multiple geographies including Europe, APAC, LatAm and North America.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

The Group Account Director will develop and maintain close relationships with the following stakeholders (amongst others):

  • Senior clients across marketing and/or procurement functions.
  • Auditors working on our client’s business.
  • Senior Global Value team leadership and the Managing Director.
  • Peers across the broader Global Value team.
  • Country Commercial Trading leads.
  • Regional and Global Value hub teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing Value Delivery

  • Clearly articulate goals and methodology to local market investment leads.
  • Oversee your team on key regular deliverables including forecasting and performance results, tracking in-line with client and internal deadlines.
  • Lead auditor/consultant relationships to drive value for our business and clients.
  • Manage the escalation process where needed, leading issue resolution.
  • Work with Managing Director on assessing and formulating new value levers.
  • Supporting the new business team and leadership on pitches and client renewals.

Internal Relationships

  • Lead and manage a team of experienced Associate Directors, Managers and Analysts to enhance and champion their career progression.
  • Work closely with Commercial Trading leads in all countries and co-ordinate with regional Value hub teams where needed.
  • Ensure client account teams are fully informed on value status and you are integrated into the broader client service teams.
  • Support with ad hoc investment and accountability requests.
  • Support the Global Value leadership team on key future facing value topics.
  • Attend internal and external meetings to present the accountability/Value POV.
  • Responsible for Global Value Team training, development and workload management.
  • Key lead contact for senior clients (i.e., marketing specialists), be able to:
    • Clearly explain media dynamics at an expert level.
    • Report on media value delivery and explain all value levers, inc. how they have been applied across global markets.
    • Support local market conversations, explaining trading dynamics within the context of value delivery targets.
    • Understand when additional support or expertise is required and facilitate appropriate involvement from the team or agency.
    • Assist in the on-boarding and training of new Clients, plus of new countries as they are added to Value tracking programs.
