About the Role: After a successful year growing our current client scopes for 2026, we are now looking to expand our Organic Performance Department with the hiring of an Organic Performance Associate Director. As a full-service media agency, search sits at OMD UK’s heart within the Connected Performance Department (our combined wider digital and planning department) a team that consists of over 160 experts, so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to work across a varied client mix and get involved across multiple channel touchpoints working with counterparts across the agency.

Reporting directly to OMD’s Organic Performance Business Director, you will be an inquisitive and proactive SEO practitioner as well as expanding your remit into GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation – GenAI/LLMs). You will be the main day-to-day point along with the Account Manager and responsible for delivering SEO/GEO strategies for your clients whilst being their trusted partner. Working with your Business Director, you will also support in devising client strategies and approaches whilst looking for new opportunities to drive performance and efficiencies. You will be primarily working with one of the biggest automotive brands globally, specifically within the UK market across a number of business units, along with a well-known UK travel brand.

The role is perfect for a self-starter SEO all-rounder who has hands-on experience and is now ready to take the next step into a more senior role. A generalist with solid experience across all three areas of SEO (Technical, Content, and Digital PR). Analytical bent of mind with the ability to take a step back and diagnose complex Technical SEO issues. Able to identify business growth opportunities using data. Has a can-do attitude, hard-working, proactive with a passion for learning and development. Have an adaptive style in being able to communicate complex technical ideas in simple terms to people not familiar with the topic. Must be able to perform under pressure and be self-motivated. Demonstrate a clear willingness and ability to get on with people of all levels. Have strong organisational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once autonomously. Ability to manage challenges of various client interests in a culturally sensitive manner. Be solutions focused and forward-thinking.

  • Web Experience: Technical SEO, CMS Capability Enhancement, Page Speed Improvement, Website Migration, Accessibility, UX and Personalisation
  • CMS: AEM, Magento, Umbraco, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and other headless/custom CMS
  • Mobile: App Store Optimisation (ASO), Website to Mobile App Deep Linking, Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) and Progressive Web Apps (PWA)
  • Content: Content Management, YouTube and Video Optimisation, and Schema Mark-up
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
  • Project Management: Agile Methodologies, JIRA, GitHub, Hive and Trello
  • Microsoft Office 365: Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Teams, Hive etc.
  • Other Tools: ScreamingFrog, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, STAT, Pi Datametrics, BrightEdge, Google Tag Manager, etc.
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO): A/B Testing and Landing Page Optimisation
