About the Role

Fuse is looking for an experienced accountant with agency experience, preferably within sport, who has excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and thrives within a fast-paced agency environment. You will report into the Financial Controller and will be the main day to day point of contact for all Fuse staff working with one of our key clients. A focus for the role will be ensuring the financial hygiene of complex large-scale projects, working in partnership with the relevant Project Directors and Project Managers to ensure a timely and accurate financial reconciliation. Strong communication is key in this role. The successful candidate will be joining a creative and dynamic team and supporting on ongoing projects.

Main day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Suppliers
    • Leading the supplier set up process for all new suppliers.
    • Ensuring that all POs raised by the Project Team are in line with the guidance provided to aid reconciliation.
    • Tracking all project related supplier payments due to ensure invoices are in system and paid on time.
    • Lead on the management of any urgent payments relating to key elements either through existing systems or via credit card.
    • Ongoing monthly reconciliation of all POs and invoices, using the client budget as reference.
    • Tracking and detailing of all FX rate changes and variations which will impact client budgets.
  • Client Billing
    • Lead on setting up of new clients as required to be able to pay in project related currency.
    • Lead on billing of various client entities in line with client budgets.
    • Manage the reporting of both client PO requests and subsequent invoice payments, paying close attention to aged debt.
    • Ongoing monthly reconciliation of client invoicing & payments, using the client budget as reference.
    • Tracking and detailing of all FX rate changes and variations which will impact client budgets.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Develop robust and consistent systems, processes and documents which can be rolled out to all client teams.
    • Identify and implement changes to improve both the efficiency of the financial process and the accuracy of the financial reconciliation.
    • Ensure that all expense and company credit card costs are transferred to client jobs in a timely manner.
    • Undertake a regular review of client jobs to ensure that they can be cleared and closed as soon as possible.
    • Supporting the team with audit requests and ensuring all relevant back ups are saved.

About You

  • Microsoft Excel experience and skills.
  • Experience in financial management ideally within a media agency environment.
  • A thorough understanding and comfortable in managing financial processes with strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Strong reporting capability.
  • Strong communicator.
