We are looking for a dynamic and strategic sports partnerships and events account leader to take on the role of Client Partner. This is a vital position within Fuse, requiring someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership and delivery. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, strengthening client relationships, and spearheading account growth, primarily focusing on Fuse's largest and longest standing client. The ideal candidate will have significant industry expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to galvanise, inspire and lead teams. Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Excellence
- Work with senior client and agency personnel to develop partnership strategy, ensuring it is clearly communicated and effectively implemented across all delivery verticals.
- Oversee centralised operational processes and principles set by the Managing Partner of Operations, to keep the agency running smoothly and in sync.
- Partner with the People team to address and resolve people-related issues efficiently, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Lead fee discussions, commercial incentives, and contracts, working closely with finance and the CFO to secure the best outcomes for the agency.
- Play an active role in management forums, helping drive agency standards and delivery innovation.
- Client Leadership & Growth
- Act as the senior escalation point for the assigned client, knowing when to raise key issues with the Managing Partner.
- Build strong senior client relationships, ensuring teams are structured to deliver outstanding service and support product development.
- Work closely with Group, Senior and Account Directors to resolve client challenges with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset that balances client needs with agency priorities.
- Identify and drive new growth opportunities whether through expanding existing services or developing briefs for other Fuse markets.
- Provide senior-level commercial support alongside the Managing Partner, influencing partnership strategies, renewals, and contract negotiations.
- Maintain high client satisfaction scores, aiming for 8/10 or above.
- Stay connected to key industry trends and rights holders, sharing insights that benefit clients and the agency.
- Agency Service Development & Integration
- Support departmental leads with operational delivery, ensuring effective resourcing, commercial models, and tools.
- Ensure additional services and departments are considered for new briefs and client growth opportunities.
- Business Development & Innovation
- Contribute to new business pitches, shaping solutions with your expertise and leading processes when appropriate.
- Ensure smooth transitions when handing over client relationships to local markets, sharing all necessary processes and information.
- Contribute to thought leadership and agency marketing, helping Fuse maintain its industry presence.
You need to have the ability & willingness to work flexibly, usually in the London office, with occasional UK travel, on-site events, and some weekend work. This is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK.
