Central London based, hybrid full-time role.
The Account Manager (AM) is the central coordinator of client projects. Under the guidance of the Account/Client Services Directors (AD/CSDs), and supported by Account Executive/s (AE/s), the AM is the main point of contact for the client, building, managing, and setting expectations, and progressively working on/managing more complex, bespoke digital and F2F programmes across several accounts.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the OMC group’s wider product offering, brands and general market conditions.
- Understand the client/s product and therapy area and how the project/s fit/s into their overall strategy.
- Work with the CSD/AD/Scientific Services Director (SSD) to ensure projects are clearly outlined and briefed to the internal team.
- Ensure adherence to all internal processes and pay the highest attention to detail at all times to ensure client expectations are met/exceeded.
- Implement projects to meet the objectives of the client and OMC. This involves developing a strong client relationship and effective management of internal resources to ensure good teamwork and that OMC’s standards are maintained.
- Understand individual client requirements and adjust to their working preferences (Microsoft Teams/telephone/email).
- Maintain a comprehensive overview of the clients and their projects, as well as deliver current work with conflicting deadlines and demands.
- Attend and lead weekly client meetings to provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that clients are proactively updated with the project status in a timely and proactive fashion.
- Review and have an in-depth understanding of project timelines (ensuring adherence to the client brief and internal processes), status reports and project trackers (e.g. Veeva job bags).
- Monitor project progress and lead the team with reporting this in regular meetings with senior management.
- Demonstrate excellent foresight through project risk identification, flagging any concerns internally/to the client, and being solution-focused by suggesting changes to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
- Create, track and review the promotional plan for projects and the associated multi-channel promotional materials to ensure adherence to OMC and client brand guidelines and brief.
- Review the AE’s weekly agendas/call notes/contact reports.
- Work closely with the scientific and digital services teams throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Ensure that team members are following agreed protocols throughout the project and share information regarding resources, deadlines, time on jobs and changes to specification.
- Train in Veeva and provide guidance to junior team members to upload assets onto Veeva, ensuring that client SOPs are followed and all materials provided are to the highest standard.
- Timely weekly completion of workplans/timesheets to achieve targeted billable time (85%).
- Take responsibility to ensure that one’s own tasks meet deadlines and project timelines.
- Able to delegate tasks to junior team members through clear briefing and communication to ensure that the task has been understood (scope, timeline, process etc.).
- May participate in new business development with CSD/AD/BD team by proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow existing business.
