Omnia Resourcing is excited to be supporting the launch of a new distribution operation in Rugby and is seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to help drive performance, engagement, and operational excellence from day one. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and delivering outstanding results.
Shift Pattern: 06:00 – 14:00 OR 14:00 – 22:00, 5 out of 6 shifts per week (excluding Sunday)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day running of your shift, ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations.
- Manage and support warehouse colleagues across your shift.
- Drive productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately.
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet changing priorities.
- Create a positive and engaged team culture.
- Support employee development through coaching and training.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Produce shift reports and communicate key updates to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience managing teams within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Experience working to operational KPIs and service targets.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Confidence using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office packages.
- Forklift certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
