We are currently recruiting a motivated and skilled Operations Trainer to join the team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about training operational colleagues, ensuring safe and efficient working practices across the warehouse, and delivering Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities as Operations Trainer:- Deliver engaging and practical operational training sessions, including MHE training for new and existing colleagues
- Carry out MHE assessments, maintain accurate training records, and ensure certifications remain up to date
- Support new starters through structured onboarding and induction programmes
- Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt materials to enhance learning and retention
- Collaborate with Operations and Health & Safety teams to ensure training aligns with business standards and legal compliance
- Develop Safe Working Practices and Procedures and train warehouse operatives accordingly
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company processes, health & safety procedures, and industry best practices
- Conduct refresher sessions and support upskilling initiatives to meet operational needs
- Act as a role model for safe behaviours and operational excellence
- Experience in a fast-paced operational or logistics environment
- Skilled in training delivery, able to adapt for different learning styles and experience levels
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, confident delivering both classroom and practical on-floor training
- Ability to write clear, structured training materials supporting Safe Working Practices and operational procedures
- Current or willingness to complete relevant MHE Trainer certification
- Excellent understanding of health & safety practices in warehouse operations
- Proficient in using learning management systems and maintaining accurate training records
- Positive, approachable, highly organised, and detail-oriented
- Leads by example in promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
