Hours:
- Day Shift Supervisor: Monday-Friday, 06:00 - 17:00
- Night Shift Supervisor: Monday-Friday, 17:00 - 04:00
We are recruiting two experienced Shift Supervisors - one for days and one for nights, to take charge of recycling operations at a fast-paced, high-volume processing site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for keeping the site running safely, efficiently, and to target. Applicants must have waste management experience.
You’ll lead and motivate your team, maintain high standards of safety and quality, and ensure smooth production throughout your shift. Working closely with management and fellow supervisors, you’ll play a key role in driving performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage recycling site operations during your shift
- Supervise teams to meet production and quality targets
- Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture
- Monitor performance, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency
- Communicate clearly with managers and provide effective shift handovers
- Coach, train, and develop team members
- Ensure accurate reporting, housekeeping, and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory / shift manager experience in a high-volume processing environment
- Experience within waste or recycling (Essential)
- Background in engineering, maintenance, electrical, or plant operations
- Strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Good working knowledge of health & safety
- Confident communicator with a proactive, positive attitude
