Omnia Resourcing is recruiting for a Materials Controller to join a busy warehouse and manufacturing operation in Barking. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores, stock control or logistics experience who is looking for a varied role with responsibility for keeping materials and stock moving efficiently.
About the role
As a Materials Controller, you will ensure ingredients and packaging materials are available for production when required, while maintaining accurate stock records and high standards of food safety and quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Pick and issue ingredients and packaging materials to production.
- Accurately record all stock movements on the system.
- Collect, count and return unused materials to stock.
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly stock counts.
- Investigate stock discrepancies, shortages and damages.
- Receive, inspect and store incoming materials.
- Follow FIFO and FEFO stock rotation procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
