We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a specialist engineering business delivering Process, Plant & Equipment solutions into the Nuclear industry. You'll take ownership of business development activities, identifying and developing new opportunities, building relationships with key clients and supporting opportunities from initial engagement and capture planning through to formal tender submission.
This position would suit an established Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning new business within complex engineering or highly regulated environments. It will appeal to someone who enjoys being client-facing, developing strategic relationships and identifying opportunities, while also having the commercial discipline to manage pipelines, market intelligence and opportunities through a structured sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities, taking ownership of opportunities from initial engagement through capture planning and into formal tendering
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, creating account and opportunity plans aligned with strategic growth objectives
- Work closely with technical, commercial and tendering teams to develop compelling proposals and solutions that address client requirements
- Analyse market, client and competitor intelligence, procurement plans and customer portals to identify opportunities and support sales forecasting and strategic decision-making
- Represent the business at client meetings, presentations, exhibitions and industry events while maintaining an accurate opportunity pipeline through Salesforce CRM
