Salary: £15.00 per hour

Hours: 38 hours per week

Shift: Day Shift

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:45am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:45am - 12:45pm

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Shop Floater / Semi-Skilled Machine Operator to join one of our large clients on a permanent basis.

This is a varied, hands‑on position within an exceptionally clean and well‑organised machine shop where quality and high standards are extremely important.

The successful candidate will support across the machine shop, helping to keep production running efficiently. This would suit someone with previous machine shop or CNC experience who is comfortable carrying out a variety of duties rather than operating one machine throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating Mazak machinery
  • Running and monitoring machines
  • Supporting different areas of the machine shop as required
  • Changing and maintaining machine coolant
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance
  • Assisting with general machine shop duties
  • Ensuring components are produced to the required quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
  • Following all company health & safety and quality procedures

BPSS & Pre-Employment Checks

Due to the nature of the work, all successful candidates must complete a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check following an offer of employment.

The BPSS process can take approximately 5 working days to complete.
