Field Service Engineer
Reading / Bracknell & Surrounding Areas
£36,000 per annum + Enhanced Overtime | Permanent | Full-Time
We're recruiting an experienced Field Service Engineer to cover Reading, Bracknell and surrounding areas, working on specialist clean‑air and containment equipment across the healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
A varied, hands‑on role covering service, maintenance, fault finding, commissioning and validation at customer sites.
The Role
- Service, maintain and repair specialist equipment
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Commissioning, testing and validation
- Work with PLCs, controls and instrumentation
- Diagnose breakdowns and complete repairs
- Complete service reports and technical documentation
- Liaise directly with customers
- Travel across the local region
What We're Looking For
- Field Service, Maintenance or Commissioning experience
- Strong electrical/mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Engineering qualification - BTEC/ONC or equivalent preferred
- PLC/control systems experience advantageous
- 18th Edition advantageous
- Healthcare, pharmaceutical, cleanroom or laboratory experience beneficial
- Full UK driving licence
