IT Buyer (6 months contract)

London- hybrid

£850 per day

Are you a strong and dedicated Procurement Manager/ IT Buyer with experience of working with the financial services industry?

If so, this could be the opportunity for you…..

The role

As a Procurement Manager for our client based in London, you will report to the Head of Procurement and be placed as a workstream lead within the Data Strategy & Architecture programme to:

  • Manage end-to-end RFP processes
  • Lead on all communication with prospective suppliers at all stages of the RFP process
  • Create RFP documents, templates and schedules
  • Work with other partners and/or 3rd party consultants on the RFP to ensure a seamless and aligned approach
  • Develop, communicate and implement a suitable scoring mechanism by which to evaluate the RFP submissions
  • Work with the Finance Business Partner to input into the business case as required
  • Input into the contract negotiations with the Legal team as required

To be successful you will have:

Demonstrable experience as an IT Buyer within the financial services industry

Demonstrable experience in a senior procurement role

Excellent verbal communication skills

Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to constructively challenge stakeholders
