Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for a pivotal role in a fast-growing business? My client within the professional services industry are seeking a commercially minded professional to lead their finance function and drive operational excellence across the organisation.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you will manage the finance team and oversee financial and commercial reporting across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring timely delivery of monthly reporting.
• Drive optimisation of the ERP system to improve automation and efficiency.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial performance reports, and board reports.
• Oversee audited financial statements and manage external auditor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with tax deadlines, including VAT and corporation tax.
• Develop budgets, strategic financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
• Manage working capital, credit control, and investment of surplus cash.
• Monitor profitability, expenses, and KPIs to enhance performance.
• Develop and document internal financial controls.

About You

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with strong post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a commercial environment/professional services industry.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
