Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is experienced and confident in business development, who has experience in a field-based sales role and preferably experience of selling products within the engineering, laser-cutting or fabrication/sheet metal industry.

About the role
Type: Permanent
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire (Hybrid role – little office time required)
Hours: ~ 08:00 – 16:30
Salary:
- Basic ~£45,000 - £50,000
- Uncapped commission (performance related)
- Car Allowance initially with scope for company car after extended employment
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating and developing sales for Company’s portfolio products and equipment, predominantly to the nuclear, film, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, food and water markets across the UK.
The role will include:
- Identifying and generating new business opportunities within the fabrication and laser-cutting markets.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Qualifying leads and converting prospects into long-term clients including the negotiating of pricing, terms and delivery schedules with assistance from the technical team.
- With the assistance of the company’s Estimators; prepare and present quotations, and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
- Working with the design team to understand customer requirements, ensuring optimal product specifications and quality.
- Preparing sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management.
