The predicted salary is between 18900 - 23100 Β£ per year.

PURPOSE: To support the Housekeeping Department by working in the Laundry Room and ensuring sufficient clean linen is available for daily operations. To cover porter duties when the porter is off and support room cleaning on other days, while maintaining the required productivity and housekeeping standards. The role is practical and manual and involves bending, carrying, standing, pushing and pulling equipment, as well as handling linen and cleaning tasks.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Wash, dry, iron, fold and distribute linen, uniforms and other items.
  • Load and unload washing machines, dryers and linen chutes.
  • Sort, count and inspect dirty and clean linen.
  • Ensure all laundered items meet the required cleanliness standards.
  • Store clean linen, uniforms, pillows, duvets and protectors correctly.
  • Issue uniforms to staff during opening hours.
  • Maintain laundry stock levels and report shortages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of laundry machinery and work areas.
  • Carry out basic sewing and mending where required.
  • Cover porter duties when the porter is off.
  • Clean guest rooms and support the Housekeeping team on other days.
  • Follow hotel housekeeping, cleanliness and Health & Safety standards.
  • Carry out any additional housekeeping or laundry duties as required.
