- HR Advisor
- 40 hours per week / 12 month FTC
- Hybrid working – based in our Manchester office, M3, with a minimum of 1 day per week in the office
- Some travel across the UK may be required
The HR Advisor will support the Senior People Manager in providing a high-quality, proactive HR service across the organisation.
The role will provide expert operational HR advice and support to managers and employees across a range of employee relations, people management, organisational change and employee engagement matters.
The HR Advisor will manage and advise on a wide range of employee relations cases, including sickness absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring that all processes are handled professionally, consistently and in line with UK employment legislation and company policies.
The role will work closely with geographically dispersed clinical and non-clinical teams, supporting managers to effectively manage their people and helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging working environment.
The HR Advisor will also support the Senior People Manager with organisational restructures, consultations, TUPE processes, HR projects, workforce reporting and the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, sickness absence, attendance and timekeeping.
- Support managers with complex employee relations cases through to final written warning or dismissal where appropriate.
- Manage and support high-volume sickness absence cases, including liaison with Occupational Health and consideration of the Equality Act.
- Undertake appeal hearings as required.
- Advise managers on employment contracts, terms and conditions and other complex people matters.
- Review and support the implementation of HR policies, ensuring they remain aligned with current employment legislation and best practice.
- Support the delivery of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support initiatives to strengthen the employer brand and position Omnes Healthcare as an employer of choice.
- Support the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, wellbeing and retention.
- Support managers in delivering employee survey action plans.
- Support Health & Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion and Disability Confident initiatives.
- Any other duties/responsibilities as delegated by the Senior People Manager or Management Team to support the function and development of the service.
- Role Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or equivalent HR experience.
- Extensive employee relations case management experience.
- Experience managing sickness absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Experience working within a healthcare or clinical environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
