We are looking for an experienced, proactive and enthusiastic Data Validation Officer to join our established team and be a part of a company that really makes a difference.
The Data Validation Officer will support the data team and ensure that clinical data is accurate and complete and to report on areas of weakness within the data processes.
You will be accountable for maintaining/updating the accuracy of patient data, quality of data and be responsible for version control of the reports to measure performance and progress.
You will support the senior team in reporting to Directors, senior managers, and clinicians with reports, addressing a wide range of operational, clinical, strategic and policy questions to support performance monitoring.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining/updating the accuracy of patient data, quality of data and be responsible for version control of the report giving to measure perform and progress.
- Assist with calling MDS reports and validate accuracy of the initial report before full validation commences, whether daily, weekly or monthly.
- Liaising with patients with sensitive medical history and provide updates to train the team on how to deal with sensitive topics.
- Training the data team on internal systems and practices, providing guidance for the data entry processes.
- Tracking and reporting of patient stages.
- Ensuring that quality of data is accurate and internal/external audit findings are shared with other sites and followed up appropriately.
- To review and report on key KPI breached as they occur with each service area.
- Experience with database software and applications
- Familiar with database concepts
- Experience in providing user support.
- Experience of and confidence in interacting with senior members of an organisation.
- Experience of Microsoft BI tools including SQL Server, Power BI & Reporting Services.
- To be proactive in identifying weaknesses in existing patient record systems, data reports and processes and to recommend improvements as appropriate.
- Completing quality checks.
- Ensuring that quality of data is accurate and internal/external audit findings are shared with other sites and followed up appropriately.
- Ensuring guidelines are followed for each service.
- Working closely with the IT department and Referral management centre for effective progression of patients.
- Expert working knowledge of System One, Excel and Power BI
- Access to DLP and e RS for extracting and reporting purposes.
Experience
- Awareness of Healthcare policies and procedures
- Knowledge of TPPSys1 software, protocols and searches
- Excellent communication skills
- Good standard of written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages and email.
- Experience with database software and applications in particular MSQL and Power BI.
