Role Overview

OMNES is seeking a highly commercial and detail‑oriented Merchandising Manager to drive trading performance, stock efficiency, and margin delivery across all channels. Reporting into the CEO, this role is central to how the business trades—ensuring the right product is in the right place, at the right time, and at the right price. You will work closely with the Financial Director to deliver strong sell‑through, optimise stock position, and support profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trading & Performance
    • Support daily and weekly trading across all channels
    • Monitor performance across sales, sell‑through, and stock levels
    • Identify risks and opportunities, and take action to drive performance
    • Work closely with the Commercial Director on pricing and promotional execution
  • Stock Management
    • Own stock flow, intake, and availability across all channels
    • Ensure optimal stock levels to maximise sales and minimise risk
    • Manage stock allocation across e‑commerce, retail, and partners (e.g. Selfridges, ASOS)
    • Proactively manage slow‑moving stock and exit strategies
  • Range Planning & Forecasting
    • Support range planning in collaboration with Buying
    • Build and maintain WSSI and trading forecasts
    • Track performance against plan and recommend actions
    • Ensure alignment between intake, sales, and stock position
  • Margin & Markdown Management
    • Support delivery of margin targets through effective stock and pricing management
    • Execute markdown strategy in line with commercial direction
    • Monitor discounting impact and recommend improvements
    • Work closely with Finance to ensure margin visibility and control
  • Channel Execution
    • Ensure strong product performance across all channels:
    • E‑commerce (Shopify)
    • Strategic partners (e.g. ASOS, Selfridges)
    • Retail (stores and concessions)
    • Support product launches, replenishment, and stock optimisation
    • Work with Marketing to ensure key products are supported commercially
  • Reporting & Insight
    • Produce clear, actionable weekly trading reports
    • Analyse product performance and customer demand
    • Provide insight to inform Buying, Marketing, and Commercial decisions
    • Track KPIs including sell‑through, stock cover, and markdown

Key Requirements

  • Experience in merchandising within a fashion or consumer brand
  • Strong understanding of WSSI, forecasting, and stock management
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on driving performance
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
  • Strong Excel and data skills
