The Practice Manager will lead the transformation of the Practice in alignment with the improvement plan, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to patients through efficient day-to-day operations and effective financial management. You will need the vision, adaptability, and drive to meet practice targets and respond proactively to changes in the healthcare environment.
Collaborating with the Omnes Leadership team and practice staff, you will facilitate and guide the development of the practice team. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of the practice, ensuring its continued success. Your leadership will foster a unified vision and a cohesive team culture, driving positive engagement and output from staff.
Main Duties- Guide and support the practice through periods of change both internal and external.
- Ensure the achievement of Quality and Outcomes Framework targets, KPI's, and all local and national Enhanced Services requirements by effectively managing and driving performance across the team.
- Registered CQC Manager responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining high-quality standards within the practice.
- Monitor and review progress on all relevant quality indicators, ensuring all targets are met within agreed timelines.
- Consider options, produce plans, business cases and desired outcomes, deliver the improvement plan, develop budgets and undertake negotiations as required.
- Ensure a positive and improving relationship with the Care Quality Commission and ICB and other bodies as required.
- Ensure that protocols and policies are developed, maintained and adhered to, in line with company policies.
- Manage and provide leadership for all practice staff, ensuring that clear lines of reporting, delegation, and communication exist, and that appraisals and staff development are given priority to develop a motivated and effective team.
- Work with the staff to develop a culture of continuous improvement and professional curiosity.
- Oversee all patient relationship management including the involvement of patients in practice development plans and communication to patients and stakeholders.
- Attend and support the PPG by positive leadership and a listening ear.
- Ensure that key protocols are understood and implemented within the organisation, to include Clinical Governance, Significant Event Reporting and reviews, Infection Control and Complaints.
- Provide the overall financial management of the Practice to ensure profitability and financial probity in accordance with financial guidelines and legislation.
- Experience of working in General Practice or a similar healthcare environment in a senior management position.
