We are seeking a Phlebotomy Health Care Assistant to join our Secondary Care Services in our dermatology clinics. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive and friendly team.
Responsibilities:
- Support dermatologists and nurses in face-to-face clinics.
- Assist with minor procedures.
- Conduct own phlebotomy and medical photography clinics, completing questionnaires with patients and taking specialised images.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide care while maintaining a safe, clean and confidential environment.
- Enter patient data into computer systems with attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a GP practice, hospital or other clinical setting.
- Holding a Phlebotomy qualification and experience collecting and processing venous blood samples.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Professional, reliable and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient comfort, dignity and privacy.
- Attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality procedures.
Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. Clinic hours start as early as 8:00 am and finish as late as 6:00 pm.
Salary: £15 per hour.
