We are seeking a Phlebotomy Health Care Assistant to join our Secondary Care Services in our dermatology clinics. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive and friendly team.

Responsibilities

  • Support dermatologists and nurses in face‑to‑face clinics.
  • Assist with minor procedures.
  • Conduct own phlebotomy and medical photography clinics, completing questionnaires with patients and taking specialised images.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide care while maintaining a safe, clean and confidential environment.
  • Enter patient data into computer systems with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a GP practice, hospital or other clinical setting.
  • Holding a Phlebotomy qualification and experience collecting and processing venous blood samples.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Professional, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to patient comfort, dignity and privacy.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality procedures.

Working Hours

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. Clinic hours start as early as 8:00 am and finish as late as 6:00 pm.

Salary

£15 per hour.
