Following full training, you will be supporting our dermatologists and nurses in face‑to‑face clinics as well as assisting with minor procedures, conducting your own phlebotomy and medical photography clinics, completing questionnaires with patients, and taking specialised images. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required.
Responsibilities
- Experienced phlebotomist.
- Ordering supplies and equipment.
- Explaining to patients what will take place during their appointment.
- Undertaking tasks and duties delegated by the clinical and management teams.
- Providing care for the patient whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy are always maintained and are specific to the patient’s needs.
- Supporting a high‑quality clerical and clinical support service by entering patient data into computer systems with attention to detail.
- Being professional, timely and reliable.
- Ensuring confidentiality is always adhered to.
- Proficient use of computer software systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a GP practice, hospital, or other clinical setting.
- Passion for making the patient journey as comfortable as possible.
- Possession of a Phlebotomy qualification.
- Experience in collecting and processing venous blood samples.
- Reliable, professional, able to work independently, and committed to the working locations and hours.
- Excellent computer skills.
Work Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; weekend work may sometimes be required.
